Beauty & the Beast – Berwickshire News – 2012

March 15, 2012 By evg

Cast leave audience in awe with visually stunning and superbly performed musical, writes Simon Duke

Co-producers Pauline Grieve and Andrea Thacker promised a visual spectacular and from the moment the captive audience set eyes on the set there was a sense of awe in the room.

Some shows take a while to find their feet but EVG’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ hit the ground running, pulling one of its tours de force out of the hat straight away in the shape of ‘Belle’.

The key to any good production is to give everyone a chance to shine, and the chaos of the market place allowed plenty of the cast an opportunity to make their mark, none more so than leading lady Lynne Manderson as the girl the song was named after.
